Campaigners Call For Medicinal Cannabis To Be Made Available Here

Medicinal cannabis campaigners want the Taoiseach and Health Minister Stephen Donnelly to intervene and remove the need for them to travel abroad for the drug.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic the HSE has organised the importation and delivery of the medicine - however this will stop once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Ava Barry suffers from Dravet's Syndrome and takes the medication, which is licensed to control seizures.
Her mother, Vera says it is not safe for her or her husband to travel to the Netherlands every three months and want a permanent solution put forward by the Government.
