The 'Heuston Masterplan' is described as a visionary blueprint for the transformational development of western end of Dublin City.
The 10-hectare site around Heuston Station is set to be transformed into a 'largely car-free' mixed-use development that will include more than 1,000 residential units.
Commercial, residential, retail and leisure units and 5,000 bike parking spaces will also form part of the development.
While around a kilometre of river frontage along the Liffey will be developed to include a boardwalk.
Planning permission won't be applied or until 2023.
It is expected the development will take up to 15 years to complete.
