Road users in Wicklow and surrounding counties are being urged to exercise care again this morning, after temperatures dropped to minus-four in places overnight.
A status yellow low temperature and ice alert is in place throughout the country, until 11 o'clock this morning.
Met Éireann says ice has formed on untreated surfaces.
