The developers of the Greystones Community National School are seeking an urgent meeting with the Department of Education, to establish why they have refused to sign off on the premises.
Reports this week in the Bray People say the county council issued a certificate of compliance on the 2nd of July, but the Department of Education notified the company on the 29th of July, that a test carried out that day by an independent body, had found part of a system had failed to meet required standards.
But the developers Western Building Systems, say they are being left in the dark.
Speaking to East Coast FM News, Wicklow Councillor Irene Winters said the certificate of compliance is issued in good faith, based on the information provided to the Council, but that information has clearly being called into question.
