Rents dropped by their biggest amount in 10 years last month.
In April, they fell by 2.1 per cent compared to March, due to the economic fallout from Covid-19.
A new report from Daft.ie says rents had increased in the first quarter of the year by nearly 4 per cent on the same period last year.
The biggest fall in April was in the capital, but author of the report, Ronan Lyons, says the other main cities have also experienced declines.
