Environmental expert, author, broadcaster and communication officer for The Tree Council of Ireland Éanna Ní Lamhna joins us to talk about the SPAR National Tree Day which takes place on October 5th. This year’s campaign, themed “Nuts about Nature”- “Fiáin chun Dúlra”, aims to encourage children, parents and teachers to connect directly with nature by planting one of the 2,000 Native Irish Hazel tree saplings available FREE for primary schools across the country. Éanna tells us more about that and the importance of native trees in preserving our biodiversity.
