The Sunday Show continues its focus on West Cork this evening, coming to you from the award winning Liss Ard Estate in Skibbereen in conversation with general manager Alexi Argyris. Alexi was born in Greece and educated in England and is a hotelier with over 22 years’ experience in the luxury industry. He has worked in Claridge’s and Lucknam Park in the UK and with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in Paris, California, and Saint Barts and recently arrived in West Cork from Greece,
‘My passion for hospitality is simple, it’s all about the people; from guests who visit the hotel, the employees who work there, and the partners and suppliers. I’m a big advocate of working with local businesses, as I’m a firm believer that this brings the best from people and their pride in their work’. Having accumulated a wealth of global experience, Alexi says "It was the people who attracted him to West Cork". We also hear about the restorative Sound Bath experience in the totally unique Sky Garden which was designed by famous sculptor James Turrell.
