Ray Byrne opened the Wineport Lodge outside Athlone in 1993 as a small lakeshore restaurant with his wife, Jane English. He has acquired a wide portfolio of experience working in the hospitality sector for the last 25 years,  He owns & operates a number of hotel businesses in Ireland under the Nhance group including Wineport Lodge on the shores of Lough Ree in Co. Westmeath which is a member of Ireland’s Blue Book. www.wineport.ie
